UKSEDS Conference 2024
MODEL ROCKETRY & AIRCRAFT AND SATELLITE PREDICTIVE Al SIMULATIONS USING PYTHON
Python Programming: Project-Based Learning Tutorial
Hopkins Room, Sunday March 3rd from 13.55-15.25
We look forward to participants joining us for our Python Programming project-based learning tutorial on Sunday March 3rd at the 2024 UKSEDS Conference, University of Bristol.
Participants should bring their own devices, with access to an internet browser and Google Colaboratory installed via a personal Google Drive account. Video guidance is below on installing Google Colab, in order to run the session exercises via online Google Colab coding notebooks:
The session will aim to explore Python Programming approaches to career areas that encompass aerospace design optimisation and simulation (model aircraft and rocket), computer vision, satellite data machine learning AI and a simplified introduction to quantum machine learning simulations (QML).
During the session, exemplar Python programming project tasks making use of the below Python libraries will be shared via Google Colab notebook links, to be explored and run on your personal devices during explanations. Documentation for these Python libraries are linked below for you to investigate ahead of Sunday's session:
Python GPkit (automated-UAV drone design optimisation)
Python RocketPy (model rocketry design and 3D trajectory simulation)
Python OpenCV (computer vision for environmental aerial image recognition)
Python SciKit-Learn (machine Learning AI predictive regression for satellite data)
Python QisKit (quantum machine learning AI classification model simulation)
We look forward to you joining us on Sunday March 3rd!
