We look forward to participants joining us for our Python Programming project-based learning tutorial on Sunday March 2nd at the 2025 UKSEDS Conference, University of Leicester.
Participants should bring their own devices, with access to an internet browser and Google Colaboratory installed via a personal Google Drive account. Video guidance is below on installing Google Colab, in order to run the session exercises via online Google Colab coding notebooks:
The session will aim to explore Python Programming approaches for flight anomaly detection in UAV aircrafts and model rocketry.
During the session, exemplar Python programming project tasks making use of the below Python libraries will be shared via Google Colab notebook links, to be explored and run on your personal devices during explanations. Documentation for these Python libraries are linked below for you to investigate ahead of Sunday's session:
Python RocketPy (model rocketry design and 3D trajectory simulation)
Python SciKit-Learn (machine Learning AI predictive regression for satellite data)
Python Matplotlib (creating static, animated, and interactive visualisations)
Python Numpy (numerical computing)
Python Pandas (data analysis and manipulation tool)
We look forward to you joining us on Sunday March 2nd!
